Project Brief
The company approached CTS with a challenging opportunity after their ship had a breakdown on board on one of the Auxiliary Engine. The block, badly damaged, needed immediate repair and the engine block had to be replaced.
The company approached CTS “in situ” cost-effective services to repair the significantly damaged block for Wartsila 6L20 Engine. Our past experience working on similar engines allowed us to respond quickly and efficiently to our client’s needs.
Following assessment of the damage, CTS technicians recommended that the block should be removed and replaced by a second-hand block. CTS spares/supply department services allowed us to reduce the cost for the client while providing safely quality spares products in a short amount of time.
